The album has 10 amazing songs from the AllAboutWorship community. The songs were written and sung by the different worship teams in their local churches featuring Michael Farren, Krissy Nordhoff, Dustin Smith, Benji Cowart, Corey Voss, Tony Wood, Scott Ingegneri, James Galbraith, Ryan Shirley, Alisa Turner, Lydia Ingegneri, Lincoln Davis, Chris Clayton and Aaron Timberline.
Lift My Eyes
When I first heard this song, it gave me a reminder to focus on God, keep my eyes on Him and not to listen to the world’s view of life. Just like when Paul wrote a letter to the church at Colossae, he said: “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” (Colossians 3:2 ESV) As the title said, “Lift My Eyes” try to listen to this song while you are looking up to heaven and close your eyes, while doing it you will feel relax with the beautiful voice of Alisa Turner with a friendly melody. The songs tell us that God is our helper in our way. We should keep focusing on Him even if we are experiencing troubles and remember God’s promises. This is a good motivational song that we should listen every day.
God Most High
Let’s sing praise to our God Most High with this song of Michael Farren. Just like David wrote in his Psalms: “Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly!” (Psalm 149:1 ESV) It is a good praising song that you can play in the morning to start the day right and before you begin your devotion in the morning. This is a motivational song that magnifies God that He is the Most High God.
I Can’t Contain It
Dustin Smith made me very emotional with this song that made me remember and cry to all the good things that God has done in my life and to the lives of the people that I love. The song is slow paced and you will feel the singers’ emotion while listening to it. This song is also good to include in solemn praise and worship or in prayer meetings. There’s nothing really that we can compare to our God who is generous and merciful. As David wrote in his Psalms, he said, “You have multiplied, O LORD my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told.” (Psalm 40:5 ESV) Listening to the lyrics with eyes closed and focusing on God alone, I felt that I am blessed with our Lord after listening to this. I hope you can include this song to your devotion to feel more goodness of God.
The song has a good relaxing melody that is nice to add to your playlist when you are travelling. The song tells us that it is the same God who was with Moses, the same God who fight for us and who is always be there. The song reminds us the good things that our Lord has done to all His children. The lyrics said that He is able to great amazing things for us. At the last page of the Bible, He said that “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” (Revelation 22:13 ESV) Our faith will be really forevermore because He is the alpha and the Omega.
Hope Of The Cross
It is a motivational song that we should add to our playlist. I can hear the conviction of the voices of Benji Cowart & Krissy Nordhoff while singing the song. The conviction of the song tells us that Jesus paid for our salvation once and for all. It even dared to ask; “Death, where is your sting?” as we know that Jesus overcome death when He died on the cross. The cross has been the sign our hope, the hope to change our hearts, our minds, our lives, the people around us and our situation. Our hope is only Jesus who was once hanged on the cross. The apostle John wrote: “In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:4-5 ESV) The darkness has no power to our God who sacrificed for us all.
Great Is The Lord
“Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.” (Psalm 145:3 ESV) David wrote this Psalm as a sign of worship to our one true God and I can feel that the writer of the song felt the same way of worshipping God. Rhyan Shirley showed her full emotion of humbling before God in this song. It is a praising song, but not too loud and lively. It is not too emotional or too slow that you will normally hear in prayer meetings. The song is very light that is also good to play as background music while you are having quiet time with the Lord.
I Will Call
I Will Call encourages us to call unto God in times of trouble and hardship because our God will be with us to rescue. It encourages us to keep our trust in the Lord. As it said in a letter from Paul, “The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.” (2 Timothy 4:18 ESV) The song also tells us to keep your faith in God that He is able to save us at any time. The duet of Corey Voss & Lydia Ingegneri shows conviction that God will hear us and I like listening to this whenever I read the Bible that makes me read more about the goodness of God.
Benji Cowart made me lift my hands while listening and singing this song. You will hear his emotion and deep faith with God as he sings this song. The melody is slow paced and emotional that should be added in solemn praise and worship events. This is one of the best songs fit into seeking God and good to play whenever you are praying and fasting. The lyrics repeated say, “I will never stop chasing You. I will never stop praising You. I will never stop pursuing You… I want more of You.” It gives me the feeling that I would like to feel His presence more and seek Him more. I remember when the Lord said, “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13 ESV) Let’s seek God more with this beautiful song.
Back To Life
Amanda Kinner’s voice is so amazing that I can feel her heart and conviction that that the darkness doesn’t have any power over her. That we should believe in because Jesus overcomes death. The song tells us that we will have a new life with God when we start following Him. Only God can bring us to life, He can give us a new life as the Lord said, “And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh,” (Ezekiel 11:19 ESV). This is a very encouraging song that we can live a happy new satisfied life with Jesus when we turn away from sin.
This song motivated me and it tells us that we are not just people in this world, but we are children of God. We know that God is the King of kings and the Lord of lords and if He is the Most High God, who do you think you are in the kingdom of God? It reminded me that I am a royal blood in the Lord’s kingdom as it written in 1 Peter 2:9 (ESV) “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” Listen to this song and get encouraged that you are a part of the greatest kingdom of God on earth and in heaven.
