Sight & Sound Theatre bring Jonah to the big screen with big results!
For over 40 years Sight & Sound Theatre has worked to bring to life our favorite Bible stories through song, dance, excellent story telling, costume, and up to date technology. Through the magic of Broadway like singing and dancing we are introduced to the story of Jonah in a new and exciting fashion. In this wonderful adaptation of the Bible classic the runaway prophet swallowed by a whale is presented with delightful humor, stunning sets and an amazing underwater scene featuring a huge 40-foot whale!
On May 2nd, 2017 Sight & Sound Theatre originally premiered their hit musical ‘Jonah: on Stage’; filmed live at their Lancaster, Pennsylvania location; to packed audiences in over 600 theaters nationwide. Response to this one time showing was so tremendous that they have since followed up with an equally successful encore performance on June 3rd, 2017 in select theaters.
But how did Sight & Sound Theaters get started? How has this ministry impacted individuals for Jesus and overcome adversity? What hope and lessons can we take from their inspirational faith? What does it take to transition Jonah’s story of fear, rebellion, and ultimate submission to God to life? Join FFFM as we find out this and more as our Vernita Simmons sits down with Katie Miller, granddaughter of founder Glenn Eshelman and Corporate Communications Manager of Sight & Sound Theaters, as they discuss the success of ‘Jonah: on Stage’ in theater and their plans for the future.
