Thank You Lord For Those That Serve and Our Veterans

Heavenly Father, we pray protection over those who serve in the military and over their families.  Keep them safe as they defend our country, and as they fight for the freedoms that many take for granted every day.

We thank you, Lord, for their selfless sacrifice for our countries.  As they continue to serve, guard their hearts and minds from the horrors and atrocities that they are forced to witness.  May these injustices not have a negative effect on their mental or emotional state, Lord.

God, be with them in every step of their journey.  We pray for their safe return.

For those that have suffered injuries, we pray your healing power over them.  Lord, your Word says,

Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.  But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed” Isaiah 53:4-5

The LORD protects and preserves them— they are counted among the blessed in the land— he does not give them over to the desire of their foes.  The LORD sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness” Psalm 41:2-3

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24

Lord, we thank you for your healing power over all of these people.  We lift each and every one of them up to you in prayer.  Heal them from all sickness, disease, and injury.  May they be whole once again, and a testament to your healing power to others.

Lord we pray over those who are battling emotional scars from being in wars.  We pray healing over their mind, and all of the lies of the enemy that may be convicting them.  We break all chains that are holding the mind in bondage.  Where there is hurt and brokenness, we know we can find your healing.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3

We pray God’s healing power over you right now.  May His love wash over you.  May He comfort you, and bring you peace.

Lord, we thank you for all of our veterans who have served for our country.  We thank you for their selfless acts.  We thank you for keeping many of them safe.  We thank you for their lives and the sacrifice they made daily so that we can live in freedom.  We thank you for calling them to fight for God and country, and for everything that is good.

For many of us, we thank you Lord that we live in a country where we are free to worship you.  We thank you that we are free to share the gospel with others so that they may live in victory.  We thank you that we have this freedom.

Yet many, Lord, do not have this freedom.  We thank you for those you have sent to be missionaries for you.  We pray your protection over them and their families.  Please keep them safe from persecution and harm from those who do not understand.  Guide them on their path to avoid any harm, and may no harm come to them.  We pray that all those they come into contact with that do not know you be drawn to the light that shines within them.  Open their hearts to receiving the gospel, and ultimately salvation.

We lift up all of these people to you, Lord.  We thank you for their lives.

In Jesus Name, Amen
